Tunis, Twenty-three irregular migration attempts were thwarted, 942 undocumented migrants, including two Tunisians and others of sub-Saharan African nationalities, were rescued and two corpses were fished out, the General Directorate of the National Guard said in a press release on Friday. Besides, 17 wanted persons, including organisers and intermediaries, were arrested, and 5 boats, 24 marine engines and a quantity of fuel were seized by the Sfax national guard units, the General Directorate added, underlining that the necessary legal measures were taken, Tunis Afrique Presse (TAP) reported.
