BETHLEHEM - Ma'an - Israel and the mediating countries are continuing to prepare to renew contacts regarding the exchange deal on Thursday. This is despite Hamas calling for no new proposals for the deal and for adherence to the broad outlines proposed by US President Joe Biden in April. Sources familiar with the talks told Haaretz that Hamas' announcement last night - which opposed the mediators' proposal to present a new document that would bridge the remaining gaps between the two sides - does not currently indicate a collapse of the talks. She added that Hamas' announcement is currently viewed primarily as a tactical move aimed at putting pressure on Israel. Source: Maan News Agency
