Staff and National Defence College hosts lecture on Khalid ibn Al Waleed’s military career

Manama, Under the auspices of Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), the Royal Command, Staff and National Defence College hosted a lecture on the military career of Prophet Mohammed's Companion, Khalid ibn Al Waleed, May Allah be pleased with him, presented by Dr. Roy Casagranda, political science professor at Austin Community College, Texas, US.

Lieutenant-General Theyab bin Saqr Al Noaimi, BDF Chief of Staff, was present.

The BDF chief praised the valuable lecture delivered by Dr. Roy Casagranda, noting that it included details about the military genius showcased by Companion and military commander, Khalid bin Al Waleed, in the Islamic battles and conquests that he led and participated in.

The lecture shed light on the combat tactics and military command strategies of Khalid ibn Al Waleed, as well as the impact of his military genius on strategic military thought, as his military plans and methods have been taught throughout history.

The commander-in-chief also valued highly Dr. Roy Casagranda's scientific and academic career, as well as contributions to enriching historical studies, praising his studies in politics, economy, psychology and philosophy.
