Storm in Russia’s Mari El Republic Leaves 6 Dead

Six people were killed and others were injured in Russia's Republic of Mari El as a result of a storm.

According to preliminary data, 24 people were injured, including six children, and six people were killed, including three children, Russian (RT) said citing the Republic's Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Earlier, Head of the Republic Yuri Zaitsev said that there were 22 victims, including six dead, who were resting in tents at a lake.

In September, three people were killed as a result of Typhoon Hinnamnor, which struck areas in the Russian Far East.
