Damascus, The Minister of Health, Dr. Hassan al-Ghabbash , discussed with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Damascus, Hussein Akbari, ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two sides in the health field. That came during a meeting held in the Ministry building Wednesday, Dr. al-Ghabbash stressed the deeply rooted relations between the two countries at all domains, pointing out the significance of developing cooperation in the sector of health care, medical and health education, scientific research and technology, medicines and medical equipment, developing pharmaceutical cooperation and medical equipment, and exchanging experiences. For his part, Ambassador Akbari, stressed the importance of activating bilateral cooperation in the health and scientific sectors, affirmed that the Iranian Ministry of Health's efforts to enhance cooperation with the Syrian Ministry of Health in the several fields, as well as signing more memorandums of understanding in the health and scientifi c fields.
