Jeddah, With the participation of Syria, the work of the forty-fourth session of the Executive Council of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) was launched in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Dr. Salem bin Mohammed Al-Malik, Director-General of ISESCO, affirmed that the Council's convening puts in the hands of the attending representatives of member states what ISESCO has accomplished over the past year and the achievements it aspires to achieve during the coming year. He announced a proposal to establish an office for the organization in the State of Palestine as part of its solid stance to support the Palestinian people in the fields of education, culture and science, indicating that this step will be followed by similar steps in Syria and some member states.
