Amman, Syrian football team U-16 won the title of West Asian Football Federation (WAFF) Championship after defeating its Saudi counterpart by penalty kicks (10-9), after the original time ended in a positive tie (2-2) in the final match. Our national team qualified for the semi-finals of the tournament after defeating Bahraini national team by 2-1 and after tying 1-1 with its Palestinian counterpart, to top its group in the first round and win in the semi-finals against Jordan on penalty kicks.
