Damascus, Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, Mohamed Hassan Qatana, discussed with Indian Ambassador to Syria, Irshad Ahmed, ways of cooperation in the fields of agricultural scientific research, product exchange, and development of agreements signed between the two countries. Qatana pointed out during his meeting with Indian ambassador at the ministry building to the importance of benefiting from Indian experiences in the scientific, research, applied and production fields, using modern technologies in agriculture, cooperating in the fields of qualifying and training cadres, organizing plant and animal quarantine systems to facilitate product exchanges, and activating the principle of bartering in products to secure fertilizer and some production supplies in exchange for Syrian products that can be exported to India. Indian ambassador stressed the importance of developing and updating the signed agreements and implementing them.
