Damascus, Minister of higher education and scientific research, Bassam Ibrahim, discussed with the Mauritanian ambassador in Damascus, Sidi Ould Duman, ways to develop and strengthen scientific, research and cultural cooperation between the two countries. Minister of Higher Education stressed the strong historical relations that bring together Syria and Mauritania at all levels, pointing out the keenness of the leaderships in the two countries to make further efforts to improve the bilateral relations in various fields. For his part, the Mauritanian ambassador expressed his country's desire to develop scientific and research cooperation with the Ministry of higher education and scientific research and Syrian universities to take advantage of the existing scientific potentials and focus on the accurate specialties to serve the interests of both countries.
