The occupation arrests 28 citizens from the West Bank

Bethlehem - Ma'an - On Thursday morning, the occupation forces arrested at least 28 citizens from the West Bank after a raid and search operation. The Prisoners' and Ex-Prisoners' Affairs Authority and the Prisoners' Club explained in a statement that the arrest operations in Jenin Governorate affected 16 citizens, and the occupation continued to detain 9 of them, including Jamal Haweel, a member of the Fatah Revolutionary Council, while the rest of the arrests were distributed among the governorates of Hebron, Bethlehem, Ramallah, Nablus, and Jerusalem. In addition, the occupation forces continue to carry out extensive raids and abuse during arrests, accompanied by severe beatings and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to extensive acts of vandalism and destruction in citizens' homes. It is noteworthy that the number of arrests after October 7th amounted to more than (9430), and this number includes those who were arrested from their homes, through military checkpoints, those who we re forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage. It is worth mentioning that these arrest campaigns constitute the most prominent consistent and systematic policies used by the occupation forces, and they are also one of the most prominent tools of the (collective punishment) policy, which also constitutes a central tool for the occupation in targeting citizens, in light of the comprehensive aggression against our people and the ongoing genocide in Gaza. .
