Ramallah - Ma'an - The Israeli occupation forces arrested at least 20 citizens from the West Bank yesterday and today, Monday, including a child and former prisoners. The Prisoners Club and the Commission of Prisoners and Freed Prisoners Affairs said in a joint statement that the arrests were distributed across most of the West Bank governorates. In addition, the occupation forces continue to carry out extensive raids during the arrest campaigns, accompanied by attacks and threats against the detainees and their families, in addition to vandalism and destruction of citizens' homes. The statement indicated that the Israeli occupation forces have arrested more than 10,700 citizens from the West Bank, including Jerusalem, since the beginning of the ongoing war of extermination and comprehensive aggression against our people. He explained that these arrest campaigns come in light of the comprehensive aggression, as a retaliatory operation that falls within the framework of the crime of (collective punishment), as the arrest operations constituted, and still constitute, the most prominent fixed and systematic policies used by the occupation to undermine any escalating resistance against it.
