Ramallah - Ma'an - The Israeli occupation forces arrested at least 30 citizens from the West Bank, including children and former prisoners, since yesterday evening until Monday morning. The Prisoners Club and the Commission of Prisoners' Affairs and Freed Prisoners said in a joint statement that the arrests were concentrated in the governorates of Ramallah, Jenin, and Hebron, while the rest of the arrests were distributed among the governorates of Qalqilya, Bethlehem, Nablus, Jericho, and Tubas. The statement added that the occupation forces continue, during the arrest campaigns, to carry out widespread abuse, severe beatings, and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to vandalizing and destroying citizens' homes. He pointed out that the number of arrests after October 7th amounted to more than (9580), and this number includes those who were arrested from their homes, through military checkpoints, those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held host age. He explained that these arrest campaigns constitute the most prominent fixed and systematic policies used by the occupation forces, and that they are also among the most prominent tools of the policy of (collective punishment), which also constitutes a central tool for the occupation in targeting citizens, in light of the comprehensive aggression against our people, and the ongoing genocide in Gaza, after October 7.
