Three People Killed in Russian Plane Crash Near Moscow

A Russian Sukhoi Superjet-100 aircraft crashed on Friday while on a test flight after undergoing maintenance work, and its three crew were killed. The Russian Emergency Authority said, in a statement, that the ill-fated plane crashed in a forested area and exploded after colliding with the ground in the Kolomna area on the outskirts of the capital, Moscow, noting that initial reports indicated the death of its three crew. It explained that the plane belonged to Gazprom, and underwent regular maintenance before it carried out a test flight, but it crashed. Last month, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that a Su-34 plane crashed in the mountains of the Republic of North Ossetia due to a technical malfunction, killing its crew.
