Mersin: Deputy Minister of Interior of the Republic of Turkiye, Munir Karaloglu, stated that the Israeli regime is waging a genocidal war in Gaza, which has led to an alarming rise in civilian martyrs and injuries. Speaking to Qatar News Agency , Karaloglu emphasized the unwavering commitment of both Qatar and Turkiye to advocating for the rights of Palestinians and the establishment of a Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, underscoring the joint efforts of Turkiye and Qatar in providing vital aid, including essential food and shelter, to alleviate the suffering of the people in Gaza. He pointed that the cooperation between the two countries is exemplified by the dispatch of a humanitarian aid ship from the Turkish port of Mersin to Al-Arish, Egypt. This initiative was carried out in the presence of HE Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater, and HE Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Yasin Ekrem Serim. Karaloglu concluded with a firm commitment from Turkiye and Qatar to intensify their efforts in the upcoming phase, particularly focusing on advocating for a ceasefire in Gaza.
