Turkiye is preparing to launch its Turksat A6 satellite during the second week of next July, in a new step towards achieving the goals of the Turkish space program. Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Oraloglu announced in a statement on Friday that the Turksat A6 satellite will be launched into space orbit after midnight on July 8. He added that the satellite will be launched aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral in the US state of Florida, and the satellite is scheduled to separate from the rocket about half an hour after the launch. If the launch is successful, It is expected to receive the first signal from the moon 70 minutes after it separates from the rocket, he noted. He added that "after all checks of the orbit and subsystems are carried out through the stations, the satellite will begin its space journey towards its orbit at 42 degrees east longitude. he said that after completing the journey, our satellite is expected to begin its orbital tests." He explain ed that it is planned to operate the satellite after tests that will continue for at least one month after it reaches orbit. He pointed out that the new satellite will be stationed 35,786 kilometers from Earth after its one-month journey, indicating that it is distinguished from previous versions in that it will also cover India, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
