New York - Ma'an - The United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, Jamie McGoldrick, said that the humanitarian conditions in Gaza are "catastrophic", as half a year has passed since the ongoing Israeli war against the Strip. McGoldrick warned in a statement on Sunday that 'half of Gaza's population is at risk of famine,' and that malnutrition among Gaza's children has reached 'unprecedented levels.' He stressed that the international community is ready to increase its aid to the Gaza Strip, which has been suffering from 'unimaginable pain' since October 7 of last year. The United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator in the Occupied Palestinian Territory called on Israel to allow humanitarian aid to arrive 'unhindered and in a safe manner.' . Source: Maan News Agency
