The Deputy Commissioner-General of UNRWA said that the Security Council issued resolutions to end the war, but they had no effect, and the suffering in the Gaza Strip is increasing. She pointed out that "two-thirds of UNRWA's facilities and installations in the Gaza Strip were bombed." She added: "Aid and relief convoys belonging to UN agencies were targeted while trying to head towards northern Gaza, and the Israeli Knesset will adopt draft laws that target us and destroy the basis of international law." She continued, "There is an anti-UNRWA campaign that will undermine the UN mandate over the humanitarian situation in Gaza. We are facing a lot of difficulties now and many of our schools have been targeted in the Gaza Strip." She said that the repercussions would be disastrous if Israeli laws were passed that would ban UNRWA's work, and that efforts to dismantle UNRWA were still ongoing. Source: Maan News Agency
