UPDA approves new detailed plans, calls for property document updates

Manama, Ahmed Abdulaziz Al Khayyat, Chief Executive Officer of the Urban Planning and Development Authority (UPDA), announced the approval of two new detailed plans as part of the seventh phase of the authority's project to update property ownership documents for detailed plans. He emphasised that all property owners must take the necessary steps starting from Monday, August 26 and within 90 days, to complete the process of updating their ownership documents for the following detailed plans: Partial Detailed Plan for Al-Duraz Area - Block 536 Detailed Plan for Sitra Mahaza Area - Block 603 Al Khayyat urged property owners in the announced plans who wish to update their ownership documents to submit the required documents, which include: a copy of the ownership document, a copy of the survey certificate if the ownership document is old, and a copy of the CPR. If the applicant is acting on behalf of the owner, a certified power of attorney signed by the property owner must be provided, along with a compl eted application form. He further clarified that the required procedures can be completed either by visiting the Authority's Customer Service Center, located at the Survey and Land Registration Bureau building in Sanabis, from Sunday to Thursday between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, or by submitting an inquiry about land status via the Authority's email at ask@upda.gov.bh or through the Urban Planning Services platform "Planning" at www.planning.bh.
