US Agency: Russia exports most of its wheat production

Baghdad, The American Bloomberg Agency reported, on Friday, that Russian wheat is still flowing to major importers, despite the high costs.

The main buyers remain Egypt, Turkey and Iran, said Dmitriy Rilko, Director General of the Institute for Agricultural Market Studies in Moscow.

According to the Agency, nearly 900,000 tons of wheat have been loaded into Russian ports only since the beginning of April 2022, in line with the pace of March.

Crop data also shows that Russian exports of major agricultural commodities, including wheat, fell by 1 million tons in the first 13 days of April, close to the level in the same period in March.

Last week, the US Department of Agriculture raised its estimate of Russian wheat exports in the current season to 33 million tons, although this is still less than the 35 million tons it had expected before the war./ End
