Major stock indices on Wall Street closed with mixed results at the end of Friday's trading session. The S and P 500 index ended down 10.27 points, or 0.18 percent, closing at 5,703.37 points. The Nasdaq Composite fell 65.66 points, a decline of 0.36 percent, finishing at 17,948.32 points.
