A World Health Organization official said on Friday that the organization has sent a request to the Israeli occupation authorities to start the second campaign of vaccination against polio in the Gaza Strip, starting on October 14. "We have asked the Israeli authorities to consider a plan similar to what we did in the first round," said Ayadil Saparbekov, head of the organization's emergency program in the occupied Palestinian territories. "Negotiations are ongoing and a meeting with the Israeli authorities regarding the next stage is scheduled for next Sunday," he added. Source: Maan News Agency
