Youth Minister highlights achievements of Youth City 2030

Manama, Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, announced the success of the 13th edition of Youth City 2030, which implemented a range of professional programmes designed to meet labour market demands. The initiative was carried out in partnership with Tamkeen and aligned with the "Bahrainona" national programme to empower youth. The minister attributed the city's success to its commitment to addressing youth training needs and equipping participants with essential skills for their future careers. Minister Tawfiqi added that this year's edition saw an increase in the number of training programmes and opportunities due to high demand from young participants. The ministry expanded the offerings to 169 programmes, providing 5,363 training opportunities and accommodating 3,600 participants. Additionally, over 3,000 visitors attended the city's events. Youth City 2030, managed by 237 Bahraini volunteers, also discovered 371 new talents across various fields. The event supported 72 youth projects and hosted 55 initiatives as part of the "Young Trader" initiative, helping young entrepreneurs gain experience in marketing their products and engaging with customers. Minister Tawfiqi emphasised the importance of preparing early for the 14th edition, which will feature new programmes tailored to the evolving training needs of Bahrain's youth.
