Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, met with a delegation of students from Al Taawon Secondary School for Boys - namely Hadi Mahdi, Hussain Zuhair, Hassan Habib - who participated in the IMG Academy programme in Florida, USA within the Champion Making Programme sponsored by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty's Representative for Humanitarian Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports. The minister confirmed the vision of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad is based on a scientific approach towards building a generation of young champions who excel academically and athletically in preparation of their achievements for Bahrain in various domains. The minister said that students' participation in the IMG Academy programme is an investment in Bahraini youth to create champions in different sports, which enables Bahrain to have a strong presence when competing in various international tournaments. The minister was briefed on the students' experience in t he IMG Academy programme and the skills acquired that contributed to their athletic development. The students expressed their appreciation to HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad for his encouragement, affirming their keenness to continue to excel and represent Bahrain in future tournaments.
