Astana, Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari presented to Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev his credentials as Syria's non-resident ambassador to Kazakhstan in the capital Astana. Ambassador al-Jaafari conveyed to President Tokayev President Bashar al-Assad's keenness to strengthen bilateral relations in all fields and deepen communication between the two peoples. President Tokayev asserted his pursuit to build strong ties with Syria and all counties worldwide in all domains and to maintain peaceful and constructive nature of Kazakh foreign policy. The credentials presentation ceremony took place in the presidential palace. Ambassador al-Jaafari also held a series of meetings with many ministers and officials in Astana.
