Manama, Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Bahrain, FCCIB, held 'Night of Champions' Gala Dinner in celebration of the upcoming Olympic Games Paris 2024. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce; Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs; Eric Giraud-Telme, French Ambassador to Bahrain; Farouk Al Moayyed; Fares Mustafa Al Kooheji, Secretary-General of the BOC; Khalid Ibrahim Humaidan, Governor of Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) and Jean-Christophe Durand, FCCIB Chairman attended. The Secretary-General of the BOC, in his speech, lauded the efforts of HH Shaikh Khalid in support of sports and national teams. He gave a brief on Bahrain's participation in the 2024 Paris Ol ympics, noting that it's the kingdom's first participation in individual games. Bahrain will partake in athletics, judo, wrestling, and weightlifting. He praised the efforts of France to prepare for the Olympic Games, expressing his confidence in its ability to successfully organise the event. Source: Bahrain News Agency
