Manama, The organising committee for the 14th edition of the Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa Award for Voluntary Work has officially closed the submission period for the Best Bahraini Voluntary Project Award. The committee received over 62 entries from civil society organisations, volunteer groups, and individuals across the Kingdom. Ali Buhazza, chairman of the organising committee, underscored the award's importance in recognising contributions to voluntary development work, as well as pioneering initiatives within the community. The submissions were processed through the dedicated website of the Good Word Society, which formed a specialised subcommittee to manage the submission process, sorting, and categorisation based on the award's various categories. Buhazza noted that the judging panel, comprising Dr. Faleh Al Rowaili, Dr. Budoor Buhejji, and Mohammed Ahmadi, will begin evaluating the submissions on Saturday, August 31. The Best Bahraini Voluntary Project Award aims to highlight the creativity of Bahraini youth in delivering volunteer projects that address various societal issues and encourage innovative solutions to developmental challenges. The award is open to all age groups within Bahraini society, and the winners will be honoured at the closing ceremony of the Shaikh Isa bin Ali Award for Voluntary Work in September, which will also celebrate the pioneers of voluntary work in the Arab world.
