Ramallah - Ma'an - The Israeli occupation forces arrested at least (40) citizens from the West Bank during the past two days, including a woman, in addition to children and former prisoners. The Prisoners Club and the Commission of Prisoners' Affairs and Freed Prisoners said in a joint statement today, Saturday, that the arrests were distributed across most of the West Bank governorates, accompanied by attacks against detainees and their families, in addition to widespread acts of vandalism and destruction in citizens' homes. The statement indicated that the number of arrests since the beginning of the ongoing war of extermination and comprehensive aggression against our people has reached more than 10,000 citizens from the West Bank, including Jerusalem. He explained that these arrest campaigns constitute the most prominent fixed and systematic policies used by the occupation forces, and that they are also among the most prominent tools of the policy of (collective punishment), which also constitutes a ce ntral tool for the occupation in targeting citizens, in light of the comprehensive aggression against our people, and the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
